I bought a costume for my daughter. The morning she was meant to wear it i noticed a tear in the sleeve. I sent an email straight away to show it hadn’t been worn and they said to return it and fill out a form for a refund. I went in and filled out the form only to be told the costume had to be sent to Edwardstown for inspection and I’d have to return another day for a refund. I then received a email 2 days later to say no sorry it not a manufactures issue so no refund. I’m not sure how they can refuse when by consumer law as it was an $80 product it would be expected that it would last more than one try on.
Great place & friendly staff. So good that I went back next day. Huge range. 2 long wigs I purchased, that have natural bounce; look nearly real; comfortable. Natural Look Wig brand from China & California Costume brand. Both using finer strands, so naturally flows, & don't artificially boof up on head; firm hold on head. Hence better (in some ways) than expensive synthetic wigs! Might end up with a wig wardrobe!
Spoke to a lovely lady, needed a exchange due to no fault of ours, got what we needed for Halloween. Thank you so much. Customer service was great, 10/10
I came in with my daughter yesterday to by her a costume. A bigger girl wearing glasses had wings on hit my daughter in the face, she then said to my 9 year old you shouldn’t be standing there. 5 minutes go passed I asked for help with sizing she looked and me and continued to walk away. I head down to change rooms and got serviced by her she looked at my daughter and said you won’t fit this without looking at the item the size was 10-12 years old. I brought the costume without trying it on and fits well. I don’t think this woman should be working with her rude manner towards young children and doesn’t set a great example how you should treat another human. Please for the manger take note of who you hire as it’ll effect your store. Thanks, juke love
Visiting this store was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had.
My mother purchased a costume for an overseas work event but due to hospitalisation was unable to attend. We attempted to return the costume within a week which is well and truly within the two week return window.
The woman who we purchased the costume from said that there was no refund for “change of mind”. When we tried to explain what had happened she turned her back and began whispering to the duty manager saying “this is the third one today don’t give them their money back”. She then rolled her eyes and walked away.
At the time I returned to the store alone and tried to once again explain what had happened and was told that they would send it of to head office for review.
My mum shortly after received an email advising that there was no credit or refund due to change of mind. I then sent another enquiry weeks ago to no response. So much for “we’ll get back to you faster than a bullet”.
My mum now doesn’t have possession of the expensive costume (as the store requested it be left with them) nor has she been refunded or even considered for a refund.
I wouldn’t consider an illness that severe to be “change of mind”, I am absolutely disgusted.
Complete lack of compassion for returns. Unopened packaging with a receipt after a hens did not go ahead and refused to accept returns.
Disgusting service.
BUYER BEWARE!
Great shop to buy costumes and accessories BUT as I found out to return a broken item and change of mind item unopened to exchange, this shops policies leave you at a loss! These items were a low cost accessory. To do so you have to fill out paperwork and wait on their decision. In saying this I feel for the great staff they have, to put up with the company's really bad policy on return items!
They have a wide range of costumes, and the shop assistant was lovely.
